'Madhuvan mein Radhika Nache Re', the famous song from movie Kohinoor sung by Mohd Rafi brings us a scene in front of us where a classical dancer moves in a rhythm similar to Radha in our religious scripts. But do you know Radha do dances every night on earth even today?!
Though the love story of Radha and Krishna happened in Dwapar Yug but it has been immortalized even today by the existence of different holy scripts and temples. The main playground for the love story of Radha and Krishna was Vrindavan. In modern day Vrindavan, there is a 2.5 acre temple complex of Bankey Bihari or Lord Krishna established by Swami Haridas. The comples also houses a one room Rang Mahal and Vantulsi trees. But what so unique here?!
The temple is the most mysterious place in Vrindavan. It is said that every night after 8pm arti of Banket Bihari gets over, Krishna and Radha comes down to the temple complex to play Raasleela. The 16000 Vantulsi trees gets converted to 16000 gopinis of Krishna. This Raas Leela goes on for entire night. Krishna and Radha takes rest in Rang Mahal which is every day cleaned by the priests and provisioned with food and clothes. When the priests come back in the morning, they find the room to be used. Now for humans on earth, after 8pm arti, every evening, nobody is allowed to stay inside including the priests. Even birds and animals too leave the complex. The nearby windows of neighborhood closes down before 8pm. Any curious soul who dared to be inside were either found dead or mad.
